STOP Bullying! Its Serious
Reads

Bullying is a common experience for many children and adolescents. Surveys indicate that as many as half of all children are bullied at some time during their school years, and at least 15% are bullied on a regular basis. Bullying behavior can be physical or verbal. Boys tend to use physical intimidation or threats, regardless of the gender of their victims. Bullying by girls is more often verbal, usually with another girl as the target.

Let me tell you nothing worse than a bully! They are straight-up cowards and they know it. I used to get bullied sometimes because of the city I lived in and there weren’t many black people in San Jose. From kindergarten, all the way up to high school it was always stupid kids talking shit about my hair and the way I dress… This is also why I choose not to have kids! I just can’t see myself getting a phone call one day saying that my child was beaten up or jumped by a group of kids and it caught on camera and placed on social media for the world to see. I will literally go up to the school and fight that kid myself and their parents LOL. Sorry to be so transparent but it’s true! But I think it would be worth going to jail for LOL.

Your children are an extension of you and when you hear someone else violated their privacy and attempted to harm them it makes you feel a certain kind of way. It makes you look at life differently. And today now we have cops killing black kids and justice is never served. Even with the George Floyd situation it still took time to actually sentence that monster. The footage was literally caught on camera and the courtroom still had to decide whether he’s guilty or not and then took Hella long to give him a sentence

If it’s not the cops killing us then it’s us killing each other and not holding ourselves accountable for the violence and the crimes that we commit within our communities. It’s like you never know when you’ll see your child or family member again once they walk out the door because there’s somebody out there that doesn’t like them and will do harm to them and usually those people are bullies.

Remember, bullying is about the bully making the worst choice. It is vital that this fact is communicated to victims of bullying. They need to be told and reminded that there is nothing wrong with them and they are not to blame for being targeted.

KILL IT LIKE A BOSS DIVA!
Reads

The Strong Black Woman has been standing tall for many decades. She’s unbreakable, resilient, almost superhuman. I always dreamt of becoming a powerful exponent of social issues. Being an independent woman means you speak your mind – You call people out when they start misbehaving or disrespecting you. It also gives you the motivation of supporting other women and not viewing them as your competition. It is perfectly alright to not care what anyone else has to say about you because you are proud of yourself for chasing after your wildest dreams. It is also important to be comfortable within the walls of your skin.

As an independent young black woman, I’ve learned a lot over the years. Especially after I turned 18. I’ve learned that you have to make your own money don’t depend on anyone else and create opportunities for yourself and learn how to accomplish goals. It’s crazy because all my life my mom has always been preaching the “hoe” route and that’s not me.

Now when I say this I am referring to women that sleep with men for money gifts and all that. That’s never been my mindset at all. I don’t blame any women who think that way because we all are trying to get that bag but some of us aren’t like that. I’d rather be independent on my own and knowing what my checks look like! and signing checks to pay others. My mom would always tell me to wear certain clothing to reveal body parts and to always look sexy which again I don’t blame any female if that’s the way they want to go but the problem was my mom never understood that. To me it was like dealing with an older sister who is trying to be a bad influence on you, knowing that I have a brain and smarts and that I’m very creative that’s all she ever cared about is me getting with an athlete and living off of his wealth.

Look at the end of the day as females we are all going to do whatever it takes to feed our babies and t

o pay the rent but there are other options out there besides depending on a man with money to take care of us. The last thing I want Is to have to ask my husband for an allowance weekly. To me unless I am disabled or whatever I just couldn’t do that. I remember growing up and watching Oprah, Tyra Banks, Janet Jackson, Queen Latifah, MC light, and many other powerful black women that always held down their own without having to depend on a man. I like that and I think we need more of that to show women that it’s OK to be independent and successful on your own without the help of your boyfriend or husband. Ladies be strong independent Divas and show the world who you are inside out!

Although we still have a long way to go, women have more control today than ever before over their careers, bodies, finances, and lifestyles. A strong woman knows what she wants in life so doesn’t depend on anyone else for what she wants. She stands out because she doesn’t need validation from anyone. Her self-confidence, drive, and ambition come from within, and she’s certainly a force to be reckoned with. These women are called Boss Diva!

The Ruling Music Genre of All Times
Reads

Music genres used to be so easy before. There was hard rock and pop and some other genres. But music and artists keep transitioning and keep pushing boundaries and new genres keep coming. When you’re talking about the Greatest of All Time in music, the personalities that tend to come up are — The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Elvis, James Brown, The Rolling Stones, etc.

These musicians, for the most part, produced different styles of music. But what if you separated them? While the world may seem increasingly divided and full of rifts, music artists offered hope, solace, and the assurance that at least where the genre’s concerned, borders are only getting more open.

As a kid, I grew up listening to all types of music from pop-rock alternative jazz-blues hip-hop and R&B. Are used to be such a huge fan of Michael Jackson I mean I still an MJ fan but when he was alive and I was a kid I would always enter any of his contests, watch new music videos and his films. The only thing that I never got a chance to see is him in concert! They really need to make a Michael Jackson hologram tour he was the king of pop!

The reason why I call myself Keldamuzik is because I love all types of music but my primary skill is in hip-hop and I just love writing and wrapping. The idea of spitting verses and putting your feelings into art and placing them on top of music to me is just so therapeutic. I like to eventually incorporate other genres of music into my music as well. I liked groups like Lincoln Park papa roach the cranberries garbage bush no doubt.

All of those bands I was a really big fan of and I felt that if they collaborated with more hip-hop artists it could really change the world like how Run-DMC did with Aerosmith. I think all music genres need to collaborate with each other because at the end of the day it’s music it’s what we do and it’s what we love. Why not mix R&B with an alternative? Or country with hip-hop? To me, it’s just creating a hybrid genre of music.

However, some people do it right and some people do it wrong. Some artists try too hard and overdo it and some artists do it just right! I’ll keep my opinions to myself as far as which artists are not doing it right but if you’re listening to music today you know exactly what I’m talking about. People make fun of me to this day for listening to certain international Pop songs and rock songs but I’m like hey this is Music and I’m a music artist right? I don’t discriminate at all as long as it sounds good!!

Spread in the ’80s and ’90s, Hip Hop today is one of the most listened to music genres, famed for melodic sampling, catchy beats, and flowing wordplay. Despite negative linking, many who listen to hip hop find it a powerful source of both self-identity and community empowerment. Hip hop culture is perhaps one of the most prevailing and generous movements in our world today.

My Journey handling Feminine Health Issues
Reads

Staying motivated is often the most difficult part of maintaining any aspect of a healthy lifestyle, including exercise. Women’s health matter most and its is undeniably the most understudied area. Feminine health is a sensitive area to explore and treat and I want to share my experience of facing hard times dealing with health issues common in females.

Ahh man yeah, I definitely have to write about this! Sell all my life I’ve always had heavy menstrual cycles I mean so heavy it was unbearable along with the pain. I would have flu-like symptoms and damn near would need it to be rushed to the hospital because the temperature it was so high. But the main reason why I wanted to discuss this topic is that I had 20 fibroids removed from my uterus. Which is also called a Myomectomy. I remember going to several different doctors and telling them about my issues about how my periods were so painful and that they were heavy and each doctor acted like it was too huge of a chore or procedure to even discuss further.

All they kept doing was give me ibuprofen and told me to use heating pads and to take it easy. But no! That did not help at all because of the heavy menstrual cycles and the flu-like symptoms I would miss out on a lot of activities because it would affect my day. I would have to cancel some show appearances and couldn’t be around anybody at all! Until I met this female doctor in Oakland California who pressed on my stomach the first day I met her and said she didn’t need to look any further she felt the fibroids very strongly. After she sent me to get an ultrasound they said it was like cauliflower sitting on my uterus they could barely even see my uterus. So I went ahead and got the procedure done I stayed in the hospital for about 4 to 5 days massive bleeding and I felt like I just got hit by a truck LOL. But the hospital was so kind to me I had several different nurses that came to my aid for everything. And then my mom walks in with a picture of the fibroids that were removed and oh my god there were 20 of them LOL can you believe that? 20 gross nasty things sitting in my stomach for years!

Fibroids are no joke get them removed if they are bothering you or else it could ruin your life! It’s hard being a woman we have so many things that we have to take care of when it comes to our body on top of looking good, making money, interacting with others and having children. Ladies take care of yourselves and always see your gynecologist if you have concerns about any feminine issues! Oh and by the way divas please please practice safe sex and find the right birth control that’s for you!

Every woman deserves the best healthcare. Your health needs change at different stages of your life – you may be preparing for pregnancy, awaiting the birth of your baby, going through menopause, or looking for answers to women’s health queries. Whatever stage you’re at, whatever your needs, understand your condition and take control of your own health.

Keldamuzik: The Hair Story!
Reads

Our hair is a reflection of ourselves because it is both personal and public. A bad hair day equals a bad day: when a woman’s hair is too thin, too rough, too dry, falling off, or turning grey it affects her self-esteem and feminity. There is a strong connection between hair and self-esteem in all cultures, races, and religions. Your overall confidence will be significantly improved and allows you to live a more fulfilling life.

I absolutely love my hair although I’ve always had issues with it always been made fun of never could really style my own hair I love it so much. At the age of four, my mom put a perm in my hair when she was not supposed to. My hair started thinning but when I turn six and seven and groove back extremely thick. I’m talking about so thick I had to take painkillers to get a come through it LOL. Anyway, my hair has always been difficult to deal with I remember in high school during PE we would have a semester of swimming, and every time I came home my hair would just start breaking off due to the chlorine. Even if I wore swimming caps the water would still get in my hair somehow. I must’ve lost a gang of hair but still had so much.

When I started modeling and acting I remember at the time I had a manager who said we’re going to get you out of that ponytail Kelda! I would always wear my hair in a bun or small ponytail because I just didn’t know how to style my hair and my mom would only take me to the salon maybe once a month for a relaxer but of course when you exercise and you play sports and do other activities you sweat that all out. I am totally glad that I started getting my hair braided and wearing partial weaves and wigs you don’t understand how it’s a lifesaver for some of us! Our hair is it sure it’s beautiful but it’s definitely a chore and you have to take your time with it.

It’s not like we could just wake up in the morning wash our hair leave it wet and go on with our day we have to blow dry it or let it air dry put moisturizers in it to hold the style applying heat to our hair and other things as well. I just want to say love your hair Ladies! Your hair is what also makes you beautiful. And even if it’s difficult for you to work with your hair find a close relative or friend that can help you out. It’s funny because a lot of my friends help me with my hair and of course

I have stylists too But that’s only when it’s showtime other than that if I’m just going out with friends or whatever I usually ask them to do my hair for me because I don’t know what I’m doing LOL leave it up to me I’ll probably leave it in a bun as I did in high school. I’m all for natural hair and for wigs or whatever it is that you want to put in your hair as long as you feel comfortable with it and it’s manageable. For me right now wags and waves are definitely manageable because you can apply any chemical or heat that you want to it and it’s not your hair so who cares if it gets damaged? LOL.

Hair is a multibillion-dollar industry. The average hair care expenditure is around $50,000 for a woman for an entire lifetime. Anyway, love your hair take care of your hair. Love you guys!

Does Social Media Affect Our Lives?
Reads

In the last few decades, the influence of social media has sky-rocketed from being entertainment to a fully integrated part of everyone’s life. Social media benefits us by expanding our social networks and keeping in touch with far-away friends and family. It is also a creative outlet. Growing up with digital technology may be changing our brain development in ways we don’t yet know.

It’s crazy because now I’ve been addicted to my phone more than ever always checking my Twitter my Instagram both of my Facebook accounts linked in emails. What in the hell would we do if we didn’t have all these sources? We would be bored and tired LOL. No, I’m just kidding. Science shows it could be good or bad. Social media is a great thing to exist but then when people abuse it becomes bad and harmful to others. I’ve seen countless crimes happen on Instagram people committing suicide or killing others etc. but then again thanks to social media think the camera phones were able to capture the brutal and ruthless murder of George Floyd.

We are also able to capture a lot of Karen’s Beckys and other racist individuals who treat people of color wrongfully. If it wasn’t for social media and camera phones we would not be able to capture any of this footage at all. this is where I would say social media comes in handy for situations like this. Then on another note social media comes in handy for businesses of course so that we can promote our music our products our businesses and brands. And now that social media has given people the option to run ads and other tools to further promote our creative it surely is more beneficial than ever.

Now we have experts out there who specialize in social media marketing to help grow your business. I think it’s an awesome thing and we certainly should take advantage of social media because of that. All in all, let’s try to use social media to promote greatness prosperity, and spread love. Too much hate is on social media and people spreading too many rumors about each other’s businesses and stuff it’s not cool. Also, it seems like social media is damn near an open diary on the Internet for those. I would definitely keep certain things to myself and not post all over social media about how are you are going through a tragic situation or whatever. Unless you really do want responses and feedback. Other than Again let’s make social media our best friend and spread positivity on it rather than hate.

Keldamuzik on Racism
Reads

I would like to share publicly my thoughts on racism and the horrific events that result from it. It sucks that people are still racist. In certain parts of America where you go, aside from the police being racist, there are many others that still do not accept black people in their community. I’m not really into politics or anything like that but I can definitely speak on what I see. Racism has permeated this country since its inception, leading to a health crisis in Black and brown communities.

As a black child growing up in San Jose I was oblivious to racism because I didn’t know that my skin color would be a problem for someone. I will try to befriend everybody and I would never judge them based on the way they look. Kids of other ethnic backgrounds used to call me names I remember one kid specifically used to call me a grease monkey. I never knew what he meant by that nor did I ever try to find out but as I got older and started understanding exactly what hate for black people is that’s when I came to my senses.

I remember going to the 7-Eleven or local food market and the cashier would just treat me differently they would always follow me down the aisles as I was looking for food or beverages. Again I never thought my skin color would be the reason why I would be treated differently. I remember going to Santa Teresa high school and it was predominantly white people. My parents wanted me to go to that school to get a better education however the students there were unwelcoming. I remember one of the teachers assigned to white girls to help me and this other white girl out with her homework and learning more about the school since we came at the same time. Well, they ended up showing her more attention and learning more about her than the other girl. They didn’t pay me any mind at all I was literally just sitting there at the computer by myself trying to figure out how to solve a math problem and they did not help me. I knew then that it was because of my skin color.

There have also been other situations that I’ve been in where they pointed me out as the black girl. It was something that I started getting used to that point where I didn’t even care anymore I would just ignore those people. Which brings me to this opinion with all this police brutality going on and capturing stuff on camera it seems like this world is only getting crazier? As black people, we continue to live our best life but others want to ruin it for us and segregate us. Why can’t we all just get along? Regardless of skin color, sex, appearance, sexuality we should really judge each other based within based on our mind our emotions, and our soul.

American political activist Angela Davis wrote: ‘in a racist society, it is not enough to be non-racist, we must be anti-racist’.

Keldamuzik speaks on Body Shaming
Reads

For decades, the socially accepted beauty standard was something like blond straight hair, blue eyes, pale skin, and gapped legs. This image of perfection has been painted by Victoria’s Secret angels, runway models, and TV to the world for years. With the emergence of social media, this image gained popularity and spread across the world with women yearning to fit in the beauty size created by some brands. However, there seems to be a revolutionary change in the perception and women have started to reject this kind of body exclusive marketing.

The truth is we all want the perfect body, from the days of looking at Janet Jackson, Madonna, j-Lo, Beyoncé, etc we ladies want to look “perfect” according to what we see in the media. Nowadays we have artists and other entertainers out there that are promoting body positivity and I’m here for it! Imperfection is perfection. We are now proud to promote our curves, our stretch marks, hell and we are perfectly proud to promote all of our flaws because every other girl can relate to it.

I remember as a kid growing up in San Jose all my friends who are not black used to make fun of me for having a bubble butt and big breasts. I used to be ashamed of my body and I would roller skate outside and try to fall on my butt every day to flatten it LOL. Crazy I know but I wanted to fit in with everyone else and I wanted to have the perfect body. My hips were getting bigger and my body was developing quickly when I was 12 and 13. And I remember the media wasn’t promoting voluptuous bodies like they are today so I always felt like I was on the heavy side and disproportion when really I was not. But my surroundings made me feel that way because they weren’t used to seeing Black girls or black women.”

Now, people have been very uplifting and motivating to others and celebrating all body shapes and sizes. On social media, hashtags like “self-love” and “body positivity” trend to aware women who might not fit these traditional beauty standards. I have seen fitness influencers share candid shots of their natural bodies. The gist of all of this is to remind women that the media is not a genuine representation of women’s bodies.

I am so happy and proud now to show off my curves and my voluptuous stature. And thank you to all the lovely and beautiful black women who showcase their curves to the public to let them know that being sick or big is beautiful. There is absolutely nothing wrong with having a couple of layers on your stomach or extra booty, as long as you know how to wear it. My divas please never let anyone tell you that your body needs enhancements or subtraction. Not to sound cliché or anything but you are beautiful just the way you are and play the cards that God dealt for you.
