Last year, due to the effect of the Coronavirus pandemic on the world, most sectors thrived and struggled through the progress of getting back on their feet. And none has thrived more than the music sector. During the waves of the pandemic, we were forced to quarantine and stay inside and out of sight.

While the pandemic separated us from our family and loved ones, we had to turn to music and other forms of entertainment to keep us busy. And hip-hop has done nothing but give us countless artists to listen to and update our playlist. The pandemic helped upcoming artists eager to break through give their shot at the public and did nothing but surpass most expectations.

In 2022, things are returning to normal, and a new set of young rookies and seasoned veterans are setting the waves and increasing the bar of hip-hop music. Below is a list of 8 artists to expect more from in 2022:

Keldamuzik

To no surprise, Keldamuzik is at the top of this list, as she has announced her upcoming projects, which are excitingly going to blow your mind. With her projects and achievements, she has proved and will prove the fact that she’s here to stay. Hailing from the Bay area of California, a special place for the most unique, innovative, and open-minded individuals, Keldamuzik is no less. The latest release of her latest music video, “Mind Sex,” is currently setting the waves in the music industry. She shows no sign of stopping anytime soon with her upcoming projects and events.

Tems

After her exciting debut in 2019, she continued to soar high and make her country proud. With her initial hit “try me” in 2019, she began to draw international attention to her sights. With her way of blending R&B and Afrobeats, she has successfully appeared on high-profile tracks like Wizkid’s “essence,” which got Tems, her first top 10 billboard hit, and Future’s single hit “wait for you,” which topped the US billboard in 2022. Born in the capital city of Lagos to a British father and Nigerian mother, she has nurtured her talent and made her country proud.

Baby Keem

An American rapper and record producer who gained significant recognition following the release of his single “Orange Soda” in 2019 and later collaborated with Kanye West on the song “praise God,” which peaked in the top 20 in the US Billboard Hot 100 chart, and was certified platinum in April 2022. He has accomplished spicy songs, including collaborating with Kendrick Lamar on “Family Ties.”

Lady London

Having shown interest in poetry at the age of 11, Lady London has always had a talent for creative writing.. after discovering her passion for music, she went further and learned her style of music and released her first rap song at graduate school. With her debut in 2021, after she released “never,” she has proved that her wordplay is one of her best attributes and is in its best form. It’s only a matter of time before she drags her way into the mainstream media.

B-Lovee

After closing 2021 with a self-released EP, “Cortlandt Baby,” with six unique tracks, B-Lovee has flexed one of his talents to the public. With an ear for implementing nostalgic samples and hit, he separated himself from the pack and went further to grabbing melodic elements and creating hits out of them. Born in Maryland, b-Lovee is an American rapper who got popular through his participation in the “IYKYK viral hit. He later went from “my Everything” to appearing on songs with prominent rappers such as Digga D and A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie.

Ayra Starr

Another Nigerian female singer-songwriter has captivated her fans and other artists with her blend of Afropop and R&B melodies lined with her stunning vocals. Along with Terms, this Nigerian star is leading a new class of Women, singing about preserving their power, preserving and protecting peace, and providing awareness for them at large. After being signed to one of Nigeria’s leading labels, “Mavin,” she released her global charting single “Bloody Samaritan.”

DreamDoll

A rapper from Bronx, New York, has worked her fame into rap stardom. She started her rap journey in college and has seen it through. DreamDoll has worked different jobs to meet ends meet, including a bartender at starlets of New York, where she was discovered and signed to Warner Records. 

Nardo Wick

Another rapper slowly grinding his way to success in 2021 after releasing his breakout hit “Who Wants Smoke?” in January 2021. Initially, the track didn’t crack mainstream media until G Herbo, Lil Durk, and 21 Savage induced the track with rap reinforcements and added their grim tales and style to the official remix in October. His hit “Who Wants Smoke?” later cracked the Hot 100’s top 20 and earned him his first glorious platinum single.

In conclusion, I recommend that you look forward to their upcoming performances. Artists like Keldamuzik are sure to keep bringing top-notch performances to our screens.

Self-confidence is related to one’s trust and beliefs in their ability and skills. It refers to the way you treat and think about yourself. It also means confidence, judgment, and faith in one’s ability. This means self-confidence is directly related to your ambitions and how you believe in yourself to achieve those goals. It is not associated with your existing skills. 

According to Healthy Place, self-confidence is a state of one’s mind and depends on many factors like one’s society and culture, wealth, facial looks, peer influence, and mainly on success & failures, as they go hand in hand. Self-confidence is not self-esteem, but a few self-confidence synonyms are positiveness, self-reliance, and belief in oneself.

While self-confidence is a state of one’s mind, it is never permanent. A person’s self-confidence may increase or decrease at a given point. While some people are usually confident, others have very fluid self-confidence. People tend to slow themselves down due to a lack of high self-confidence.

Low self-confidence is mainly based on one’s perception, and the way you think of yourself. People with low self-confidence tend to lose belief in their abilities; due to this, they don’t accomplish much and always get themselves down. Lack of faith in one’s ability also makes them not put much effort into things they try to achieve, leading to continuous failures and, in return, a steady reduction in self-confidence.

On the other hand, people with high self-confidence tend to be more successful and accomplish more. However, a highly confident person might begin to lose confidence after suffering consecutive failures. A highly self-confident person usually has enough courage to take their aims and ambitions head on. They also know the limit of what they can accomplish and put limitless effort into completing their tasks.

Don’t get me wrong; self-confidence is not believing or thinking you should be perfect. Self-confidence is also not setting unrealistic standards or expectations for yourself.

Self-confidence will not eliminate your problems but help you cope with life’s problems and difficulties.

In today’s society, I believe lack of self-confidence is like a plague affecting youths and people of any age. Since we are different and have specific unique skills, we tend to compare and contrast our achievements. While we compare our achievements, we never look at the consequences and obstacles that either help or slow us down. While most lack confidence in their abilities, others lack confidence in their body and image.

 Never compare yourselves; you do not have or face the same consequences. Try to do better and never criticize. Don’t dwell on your previous failure; instead, believe more in yourself and face your problems head-on.

Failures and setbacks are crucial criteria for successful entrepreneurs. As they say, experience is the best teacher, and many entrepreneurs need to understand, that failure is part of the process to success.

There are still exciting ways to celebrate Easter if you aren’t ready to join public activities or huge crowds. Here are some suggestions for making Easter memorable for your family while staying at home.

1. On Good Friday and Easter Sunday, go to Virtual Church or Mass. Many churches, including Easter and Good Friday services, provide live-streaming and online resources.

5. Organize an Easter Fashion Show. Dress up in Easter bonnets, sparkly shoes, and lacey gowns and put on a fashion show at home. Play runway music, make a stance for the cameras, and capture the moment on film to share with friends and family!
6. Make an Easter Brunch Virtual. Make plans to FaceTime or Skype with out-of-town relatives and have a festive dinner together. Although it isn’t the same as being in the same room, family may still enjoy “togetherness” and discussion while enjoying their favorite foods.

Back when I was in school my teacher pushed me to rap it out in maths its been an experience for me. Since maths has so little student’s attention we literally lack in it. I discovered that learning math can actually be enjoyable and fun, after exploring how beats can help us understand math concepts. While it can be difficult for many students to remember the rules and properties of mathematical concepts, it is much easier for them to remember the lyrics or the beat of a song.”

The relationship between employment and empowerment is being focused generally and particular attention is paid to the individual’s ability to approach job opportunities and working environment at the communal level. Moreover, women’s access toward resources and contribution level to the accumulated family earnings within the family units is also observed. 

The pandora box of discrimination always remains open in the life of rural women, including limited mobility, absence of education and health amenities, non-availability of financial opportunities, unpaid work, wage gap, job harassment, partner violence, fixed extended working hours, double working shift, absence in the political process, conflicts with intimate partner and burdening family responsibilities along with field work. This year Keldamuzik stands with the unprivileged women of rural areas. We need to liberate themselves by getting their rights through the efforts of the feminist wave.

Empowering women contains their will and power to control their lives at their own way. equally inside and outside homes as well as their capability to impact the way of social change to generate a more social and economic order nationally and internationally. Rural women are key agents for development. They play a catalytic role towards achievement of transformational economic, environmental and social changes required for sustainable development. But limited access to credit, health care and education are among the many challenges they face. These are further aggravated by the global food and economic crises and climate change. Empowering them is essential, not only for the well-being of individuals, families and rural communities, but also for overall economic productivity, given women’s large presence in the agricultural workforce worldwide.

“Ukraine is bleeding and the world is just talking”, Keldamuzik

With a population of 43.6 million, Ukraine is the 8th most populous country in the European continent. The nation’s capital and largest city is Kyiv. The territory of modern Ukraine has been inhabited since 32,000 BC. On February 24, 2022, the Russian Federation waged a war on Ukraine. This attack is the next phase of the invasive course that first showed its shades in 2014. It also shows a continuation, targeted, of the same revanchist ideology that caused the previous events.

Musicians in Ukraine say that a thriving, diverse scene of all genres grew in their country after the 2014 revolution. Now, Russia’s invasion has put its future at risk. Russian artists, including many stars of the classical music scene, are speaking out against the invasion of Ukraine.

I want to urge the music industry of California, of New York, of Texas, of New York, of America to come out in support of Ukraine. We have the power of music to convey our message across the world and raise awareness. I know of many talented great artists taking to social media to express their concern on the current world situation. We need to get take a step forward from just displaying our concerns on social media and take to road demonstration peacefully. The world needs to change its ways of condemning it we need to solidify our words into actions.

Forceful invasion and repeated violation of human rights is something world has witnessed before from Russian regime. Even after imposition of sanctions and trade bans, Russia is consistently thrashing Ukraine’s sovereignty to get its hands to the Black Sea port. The political gains aside of the invasion, Russia has a foreign policy that compels its neighboring countries to live on Russia’s terms. While we are breaking the pandemic’s pressure of economical stress and death rate, looks like the challenges for Ukraine has not ended yet. But why? Can’t we all live in peace? This is a question I leave you all with? If its Ukraine today, it could be Poland or France tomorrow. Think.

Bringing You The Glitz and Glam of The Fashion World

Keldamuzik, our very own diva, hosted ‘The Finer Things Fashion Show’ on Saturday, Feb. 19th, 2022 for “Black History Celebration”.

Produced by the founder of HipHopTV, Shawn Granberry, in conjunction with Keldamuzik, Brotherhood Cigars, Rocky’s Market, and Jazz Cabbage Marketing launched The Finer Things Fashion Show Series focusing on local designers, boutiques, and clothing brands. The show also featured fashion, wine, cuisine, and cigars. The Rock the Runway style shows featured 30 plus models, live performances, and on-site live pop-up sales opportunities in a festive environment.

Keldamuzik hosted the lit fashion show and keenly observed the designers and the trendsetters. Some of the designers who set the stage on fire with their exclusive and diverse designs were Proper Fashions, James Head, Chasis Everything, Adedehyde, AP2TP and Tinks. The designs showcased by each designer were preppy, classic, rebellious and luxe. The Black History Month Fashion Show took the celebration to the next level and with stylish black models adorned with amazing jewelry, hats and luxury designer dresses. Keldamuzik feels grateful for the opportunity to be hosting at the spectacular event and showcasing here beret line; Tinks to the wonderful audience, all thanks to Shawn Granberry.

It is impressive to witness the power of black people and the influence of the hip-hop community on high-end fashion houses. Hip-hop and fashion have always been closely related. It is quite prevalent to listen to rappers mentioning their loved brands in their songs. Tupac’s participation in Versace fashion left people surprised, so now taking part in fashion ramp walks no longer creates that enigma. After the close relationship with the rap world, luxury brands have now understood that rappers are taking over Hollywood stars as the most demanded icons in displaying style and tastes, esp to the younger generations Y and Z. 

Hip-hop stars joined the fashion industry by becoming brand ambassadors for clothing and accessories. They started their own brands like Jay-Z’s Rocawear. Gradually the high-end fashion designers recognized these rap superstars’ impact and luxury brands began to work with these singers, making hip-hop even more significant worldwide.

Hip-hop’s impact did not pause at the musician; even like Jerry Lorenzo and Kerby Jean-Raymond have been influenced by the rap culture because they put them in their campaigns, fashion runways, and lookbooks.

As a result, hip-hop allowed these designers to create their own versions of high-end clothing. Virgil Abloh is a good example who has been a creative director of LV with 14% year-over-year growth.

I started Tamz: a high fashion beret brand because it accentutes my hip-hop attire. I have added berets to my everyday look and in my performances because I believe it is the era of rappers taking over fashion world and I want my beret line to become worldwide symbol of hip-hop and luxury rap.
